Industrial Photography and Factory Promotional Video

We incorporate your factory, production line, machinery, and team into the same production plan for both photography and video. The shoot schedule is planned to minimize disruption to production as much as possible, taking into account shift schedules, access restrictions, and workplace safety regulations.

For industrial photography projects, facility and production line photos, technical product details, factory promotional videos, drone footage, and portraits of executives or team members can all be planned within a single visual language. LUX Production has been working in the manufacturing, automotive, metallurgy, energy, maritime, and automation sectors since 2005. Proposals are tailored based on facility size, number of on-site days, the scope of photography and video, drone requirements, interviews, and post-production needs.

The scope of the video includes facility-wide shots, production line footage, close-ups of machinery and products, employee shots, drone footage, and, when necessary, interview footage. Deliverables can be tailored for use on the web, at trade shows, in presentations, and on social media.

The photos of the facilities, machinery, products, and employees featured on this page are actual photographs. The texture of the material, the metal surface, the production environment, and the sense of scale are conveyed through on-site lighting, camera angles, and controlled post-production. Artificial intelligence is not used to present a synthetic image—one that alters actual production conditions or the technical product—as a real factory photograph.

What is industrial photography?

Industrial photography involves the professional documentation of factories, facilities, machinery, production processes, and employees. LUX Production combines facility photography, production line photography, industrial product photography, factory promotional videos, and executive portraits into a single project through its Istanbul studio and Berlin/Europe service network.

Why is it important?

Those making purchasing decisions now want to see the manufacturing process, the technology, and the working conditions behind the product. Stock images or low-resolution photos cannot build that trust; photos and videos shot specifically at the facility demonstrate the brand’s technical integrity.

Who is it for?

Industrial companies in the manufacturing, automotive and auto parts, metallurgy, energy, maritime, automation, logistics, and export sectors. Suitable for website redesigns, catalogs, trade show preparations, investor presentations, and corporate communications projects.

What is delivered

Photos of the facility and production line, shots of industrial products against a white background and in dramatic settings, a staged factory promotional video, drone footage, and portraits of executives and the team—all in the same visual style and in file formats tailored to the intended channel.

Three content streams in a single production plan

Photography · Video · Portraiture One field day, according to the project A single visual language

For suitable projects, production of the assembly line footage, factory promotional video, and executive/team portraits can be carried out on the same on-site schedule with two photographers and a video crew. While production and facility photos are being taken on one side, video shots, drone footage, and portrait sessions are scheduled on the other. The main advantage of this model is not just the time saved; it is that the photos, videos, and portraits are produced using the same lighting, color palette, and brand language.

Let's schedule a shoot for your facility

Please send us the location of your facility, the areas to be filmed, and your photo and video requirements; let’s work together to clarify the scope and the shoot date. We’ll prepare a quote based on the project scope, facility size, type of shoot, and post-production details.

Shooting Schedule

How do you plan a factory promotional video and an industrial photo shoot?

A successful industrial shoot is prepared with a project summary, safety plan, shot list, intended use, and approval workflow—all finalized before the shoot date. LUX Production manages the production line, product details, team portraits, and video plan, all consistent with the brand’s visual identity.

Pre-shoot preparations

Production areas, safety restrictions, off-limits sections, employee permissions, shift hours, machine operating schedules, cleaning/setup time, and the locations to be used are discussed in advance. Instead of a mandatory site visit, a shot list can be created for most projects using visual examples, short phone videos, and online meetings.

Shooting Day Schedule

First, the facility’s overall layout and production flow are established; then, details regarding machinery, processes, products, quality control, warehousing/logistics, executive profiles, and team photos are organized in sequence. If a video is planned, the need for moving footage, close-ups, drone shots, and short interviews is also planned within the same workflow.

What kinds of images are produced in industrial photography?

Industrial photography creates a corporate visual archive that will be used for many years for websites, catalogs, dealer presentations, export portfolios, trade show booths, LinkedIn, press releases, and human resources communications. The shoot list should be tailored to the company’s sales and communication channels.

What video streams can be used in a factory promotional video?

A factory promotional video may include wide shots of the facility, the production line, close-ups of machinery, shots of employees at work, quality control, warehouse and logistics operations, drone footage, and, when appropriate, brief interviews with executives. The selected examples below showcase different production areas and video storytelling styles.

Should industrial product photography be planned separately from factory photography?

It doesn’t always have to be planned separately. Large parts, machines, engines, and technical equipment are often photographed on the production floor; small and portable industrial products, on the other hand, can be photographed separately against a white or black background or under controlled lighting conditions.

Catalog and Technical Sales

Black background

Advertising and premium presentation

A black background, combined with controlled reflections and depth of field, more effectively highlights the weight, form, and surface quality of metal products. It creates an effective advertising message in the marine, automotive, machine parts, and industrial accessories categories.

Production area

Scale and Trust

Photographing the product alongside the production area showcases not only the product itself but also the company’s capacity, technical expertise, and commitment to quality. This approach is particularly effective in B2B sales and export presentations.

Can corporate visual production be expanded within a single-shot plan?

Yes. When a factory visit is organized, portraits of executives, team photos, meeting shots, warehouse and logistics shots, architectural exterior shots, and industrial product photos can all be included in the same production plan. This approach is particularly effective for corporate website redesigns and export presentations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Industrial Photography and Factory Promotional Videos

This section clarifies the most frequently discussed topics prior to a proposal, including scope, site visit, production workflow, drones, video, industrial products, executive portraits, delivery, and pricing logic.

What is industrial photography?

Industrial photography involves the professional photography of factories, production lines, machinery, technical products, employees, quality control, warehouses, and logistics processes. The goal is to showcase the company’s production capacity, technical expertise, and corporate reliability through visuals that can be used on its website, in catalogs, at trade shows, in presentations, and in press communications.

What is a factory promotional video, and what is it used for?

A factory promotional video is a video production that uses moving images to showcase the facility’s production capacity, machinery, workflow, workforce, and corporate scale. It can be used on websites, at trade show displays, in dealer presentations, during export meetings, in investor presentations, on LinkedIn, and in corporate promotional materials.

How many hours or days does it take to film at a factory?

The duration of filming varies depending on the size of the facility, the number of sections to be filmed, the production line’s operating rhythm, the need for drones, video editing, and the scope of the executive/team profile. Small-scale projects can be scheduled for half a day; for multi-section production facilities, a full day or a longer timeframe may be required.

Can photography, video, drone footage, and portrait photography all be done on the same location?

Yes, for suitable projects, photography, video, drone footage, and portraits of executives and staff can all be carried out as part of the same on-site shoot. To do this, the shooting list is organized in advance: production line, machine details, employee shots, product photos, executive portraits, warehouse and logistics, drone footage, and interview segments are arranged in sequence.

Does production need to be halted during filming?

In most projects, production does not need to come to a complete halt. The photography and video team continues to follow the production workflow while adhering to safety protocols. However, brief preparation may be required for certain product details, employee portraits, machine cleaning, workplace safety procedures, or the repetition of a specific process.

What factors determine the price of an industrial photo shoot?

The price for an industrial shoot is determined based on the location, facility size, number of scenes to be shot, scope of photography and video, drone plan, crew requirements, number of shooting days, editing time, interviews, number of products, and post-production details. A quote is prepared based on the scope of the project.

Can drone footage be included in a factory promotional video?

Drone footage can be included in a factory promotional video to showcase the facility’s exterior scale, layout, warehouse area, production complex, and connection to the surrounding area. The flight plan must be assessed in advance based on weather conditions, the facility’s surroundings, safety zones, legal permit requirements, and the filming schedule.

Can a portrait of the manager and a team photo be included in the factory photoshoot?

Yes. During a corporate photo shoot, portraits of executives, photos of co-founders, department team photos, and group photos of employees can all be included in the same production plan. This approach provides a more comprehensive archive for website redesigns, press kits, LinkedIn, human resources, and employer branding content.

Should industrial product photos be taken on-site or in a studio?

Large machines, engines, technical equipment, and fixed production components are often photographed on the production floor. Smaller and portable industrial products, on the other hand, can be photographed separately against a white or black background, in a cutout setting, or under controlled lighting. The appropriate method is selected based on the product’s size, surface, and intended use.

How is workplace safety managed in industrial filming?

It is part of the workplace safety filming plan. Before filming begins, the following topics are discussed: areas to be accessed, the need for protective equipment, employee permissions, hot surfaces, moving machinery, forklift traffic, areas with sparks or dust, and safe locations for the film crew to position themselves. If necessary, the filming schedule is planned in coordination with shift and production supervisors.

Do you need to see the facility before the shoot?

A physical site visit isn’t required for every project. For most industrial shoots, a shoot plan can be prepared using facility photos, short phone videos, a list of production areas, sample images of preferred styles, and an online meeting. For large-scale, high-security, or multi-location projects, a preliminary site visit may also be considered.

How do you plan the delivery time?

The delivery timeline is planned based on the number of photos, video editing, interviews, color grading, retouching, and revisions. For standard photo selections and short promotional videos, the delivery schedule is finalized at the start of the project; for complex video projects, the editing, revision, and approval process is scheduled separately.

Project Summary

What should you submit for the proposal?

Simply share the location of the facility, the list of scenes to be filmed, any photo or video requirements, drone requirements, a sample visual style, the intended use of the final product, and, if applicable, any need for portraits of management or the team.

Plan

How does the shooting schedule become clear?

First, we discuss on-site safety and the production pace. Then, we schedule the shoot, including segments such as the production line, product details, drones, the warehouse, a portrait of the manager, and a team photo.

Delivery

How are the files prepared?

Photo and video delivery: Images and videos are prepared in terms of color, framing, resolution, and format according to the intended medium, such as websites, catalogs, trade shows, presentations, social media, or press use.
